Natalie Rubio is an experienced education leader who believes every child deserves access to schools that open doors to opportunity and economic mobility. As Chief Executive Officer of Rocky Mountain Prep, she leads the network’s vision, strategy, and long-term growth, with a focus on ensuring students, families, and staff thrive in joyful, high-performing schools.
Over more than two decades in public education, Natalie has led large-scale initiatives across charter networks and public school systems, spanning talent development, academic strategy, operations, and organizational growth. She is known for building strong teams, creating systems that support excellence at scale, and developing leaders who drive lasting impact for students.
Before joining Rocky Mountain Prep, Natalie served as Senior Vice President of Strategy, Learning, and Impact at MAS Charter Schools and previously held executive leadership roles with IDEA Public Schools and Houston ISD. Throughout her career, she has launched and scaled schools, strengthened leadership pipelines, and led transformational work that improved outcomes for both students and staff.
Natalie began her career as a high school English teacher and school leader. She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in English Literature from the University of St. Thomas and has completed executive programs at Rice University and the Wharton School.
